Attention Pups in the Park
: Jerky Treats from China Could Kill You
Nationals Fans love their dogs – as demonstrated by Saturday’s final Pups in the Park event being sold-out. And, if these owners care enough to treat their dogs with a trip to the ballpark, they will surely want to protect their pets from potentially deadly jerky treats from China that have caused thousands of American dogs to become ill or die since 2007. This is why the consumer advocacy group Food & Water Watch will be handing out information about the tainted treats at the Right Field Gate during this Saturday’s game against the Milwaukee Brewers.
Who:Food & Water Watch Senior Lobbyist Tony Corbo will be passing out literature and answering pet owners’ questions.
Where: Half Street and N Street, SE
When: Saturday, September 22, from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m.
