Got a Good Thing with Coolots and Waterseed Jammin’ Out July 27

The CooLots are the original all female Rock and Soul band hailing from the Washington, DC area. A melting pot of different styles and talents, The CooLots come together to create feelings never experienced before. These creations embody sincerity, musicality, rock, funk, and soul, with influences including: N.E.R.D, Me’Shell N’Degeocello, Sade, Staind, Erykah Badu. The Good Thing is a funk band from the Nation’s Capital; soul, rock and blues can also be heard in their unique sound. Featuring lead vocalist and bassist Kim Jade Fry. Combining the joyous sounds of traditional New Orleans jazz with the adventurous funk of Parliament, Water Seed is a big, bold soul ensemble with an unpredictable experimental edge. Whether giving a Stevie Wonder classic the bayou brass band treatment or driving dance parties with the vigorous polyrhythm of its original tunes, this Atlanta-by-way-of-New Orleans outfit serves up an exuberant live show.
