A big announcement for 2013:

Pleasant Plains Workshop is growing! In the coming months, we will be expanding into the building next door. We’re building a state-of-the-art screen printing studio and creating additional work spaces to grow our resident artist program. Stay tuned for more on how you can help PPW v.2.0 come to life!

In the Gallery:
Present Day Continues through Jan & new works on paper in the Flat File.

For those of you who felt guilty buying yourself gifts from the Present Day holiday shop, we’ve extended the show to run through the end of January! We’re also adding works on paper by resident artists to our Flat Files. Come by and take a look! (image above: Champneys Taylor, ‘Untitled Phono 1’, 30×22 in acrylic, colored pencil, chalk pastel, and collage on Rives BFK, 2010)

Upcoming Workshop:
Resident Artist, Anthony Dihle is teaming up with Knowledge Commons DC again to present a new workshop on January 30th! (off site)
Ever consider printing on a tote bag with durable, waterproof coffee ink? Writing a love letter in real squid’s ink? In this mad artists’ laboratory, we’ll focus on making a thickened screenprinting or relief ink from natural materials such as beets, blackberries, burnt toast, blood, spinach, mustard, and more.
