Looking for a little variety in your fallschedule? Check out DC Bocce League’snew twist on an old Italian tradition for a fresh social sportsexperience. DC Bocce League, thenation’s largest organized bocce league, is a home grown DC-favorite. Long thought of as game only played by older,Italian men, DC Bocce League has revamped bocce’s image in its 8 year historyby attracting thousands of non-Italian, non-retired players. Bocce is a game that is easily enjoyed by people of all ages, genders, and experience levels. The league offers a fun, competitive recreational activity – plus special discounts on food & beer at each locations sponsor bar and other post post game shenanigans.
Registration is open for outdoor divisions playing Saturday afternoons with locations in Petworth and H Street. If your Saturday afternoons are booked, there are also mid week options for Indoor Bocce. DC Bocce’s custom portable courts allow you to play right at the bar, with a drink in hand. The indoor locations are Union Jack’s in Arlington (Tuesdays) and McFadden’s inFoggy Bottom (Wednesdays).
