THE PINK EVENT® 2013 ANNOUNCES TIGERLILY FOUNDATION AS OFFICIAL BREAST CANCER CHARITY RECIPIENT
The Pink Event®—the premiere women-focused expo for the Washington-Baltimore region—is excited to announce the selection of the Tigerlily Foundation as the official breast cancer charity partner for its upcoming 2013 event.
The Pink Event 2013, which will be held on March 10 from 12:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. at the DoubleTree by Hilton in Columbia, Md., will donate a portion of the event proceeds to Tigerlily Foundation as part of the expo’s mission to bring awareness to breast cancer and domestic violence.
Based in Reston, Va., Tigerlily Foundation is a nonprofit organization dedicated to educating, advocating for, and proving hands-on services and support to young women (ages 15 to 40) who are affected by breast cancer. Tigerlily Foundation Founder Maimah Karmo will be at The Pink Event to speak about her experience as a breast cancer survivor as well as share her new book, interacting with attendees during an exclusive book signing.

In its third year, The Pink Event serves as the ultimate girls’ day out, featuring women-focused exhibitors that offer unique shopping, from customized boutique clothing and glamorous jewelry to natural hair products. The first 75 attendees receive a “swag bag” filled with gift certificates, coupons, and other goodies.
