The Beaujolais & Beyond Celebration is a French cultural “Fête” that will take place on Friday, November 16th at 8pm (Special VIP tasting reception at 7 p.m.), in accordance with popular French annual tradition and custom for uncorking the Beaujolais Nouveau wine.
“Beaujolais & Beyond” will welcome wine lovers, foodies, Francophiles and party goers to the Maison Francaise inside the Embassy of France in Georgetown.
We will serve light fare from leading DC restaurants, including La Sandia, Zengo and Zentan, accompanied by French breads, cheeses, pâtés and pastries. Guests will be treated to free-flowing Beaujolais Nouveau by Georges Duboeuf and a selection of wines from France, Italy, Spain, and California.
The festivities will include a well-known Washingtonian D.J., dancing, blind-tasting contest, trivia quiz, silent auction and a raffle drawing for round-trip tickets to Paris. The Fête will last for 3 full hours.
