Wine & Wonderment at 2941 Restaurant, Nov. 13
to Help Needy Fairfax Families for the Holidays
Fairfax-based charity Our Daily Bread is hosting “Wine and Wonderment,” a wine tasting to benefit its Holiday Program, on Wednesday, November 13 from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. at 2941 Restaurant, 2941 Fairview Parkway, Falls Church. Tickets are $50 per person, which includes tasting of wines selected by sommelier Jonathan Schuyler, and hors d’oeuvres prepared by 2941. Participants are encouraged to order tickets by November 8 at www.odbfairfax.org.
Our Daily Bread’s Holiday Program already has more than 3,000 households throughout the Fairfax County area on our holiday assistance list – including 6,500 children – and expects the list to grow to 3,500 by the middle of November. The organization asks community members to sponsor individuals and families for Thanksgiving meals, December holiday meals and gifts for children under 18, or give a donation to help provide gift cards to those who are not matched with sponsors. Proceeds from the wine tasting will help ensure that more families receive assistance.
